THE Police in Mityana district are investigating the kidnap of two people and the theft of a vehicle. Bashir Mwebe and Fred Ssegawa, were last week kidnapped from Kampala and dumped in Ssekanyonyi village after being robbed of their Isuzu truck and money.

The deputy district crime chief, David Agi, said the driver of the Isuzu truck, Bashir Mwebe and Fred Ssegawa, were last week kidnapped from Kampala and dumped in Ssekanyonyi village after being robbed of the truck and money.
“They said they were hired by three men to ferry iron sheets from the Industrial Area to Namugongo,†Agi stated.
“But on reaching Bugolobi, the clients bought drinks from a supermarket and shared them with Mwebe and Ssegawa.
The two later lost consciousness.†The following morning they were found lying naked in a bush.
