THE jostling between SC Villa and Bunamwaya for Caesar Okhuti’s signature came to an end yesterday when Bunamwaya produced a contract signed between the club and the Ediofe Hills FC player.
The Ugandan international (left) signed a three-year contract with Bunamwaya which includes the details of his remuneration one week after the transfer window had opened.
“He put pen to paper on the contract. We discussed with him and he agreed on the move and the terms we are offering him,†said Bunamwaya administrator Haruna Kyobe as he showed The New Vision a copy of the contract signed on July 11.
“I wonder what other people mean by saying they are negotiating with Okhuti. We should leave the politicking out of this,†Kyobe said.
Last week Villa claimed to have spoken to Okhuti and that he had agreed to move to Villa park.
Okhuti, though acknowledging talks with Villa several times, insists that he told the Jogoos the truth that he was moving to Bunamwaya of FUFA boss Lawrence Mulindwa, though they kept on calling him.
The FUFA Competitions Committee secretary Moses Magogo had earlier said that he was not able to comment on the Okhuti transfer saga because he was not well versed with the details.
Kyobe refused to divulge further the contract details but information available indicates that Bunamwaya will get Okhuti a house and also pay his tuition as a priority.
Okhuti is an S6 student eyeing an opportunity to join university next year.
