UPON eviction from the Big Brother house on Sunday, Namibia’s Lucille cried. Not because she was the second evictee from the M-Net reality show, but rather the unfair circumstances that led to it.

Uti, Ricco and TK had originally been nominated last Monday. But TK used his head-of-house powers to replace himself with the 21-year-old Namibian.

He claimed on Sunday she was least likely to get evicted. But minutes after, Lucille was booted. “I am not surprised. I knew I would be evicted. And it’s all because of the cigarettes,” said Lucille to show host KB.

A few weeks ago, Uti had stolen TK’s cigarettes. But TK, who suspected Lucille, swore to revenge. He swapped himself with Lucille, who is now no more. Then suddenly, Uti, who apprehensively waited in the Glass House for the name of the evictee, went mad hearing it was Lucille. He ripped the blinds off the glass, banged it and swore profanities to a torrent of tears. Was he sad that Lucille had left, or had he wanted to be the one leaving?

In the house, the mood was sombre. Munya, with whom Lucille had a sort of love-hate relationship, paced the living room. Outside, Lucille told KB she liked Munya and that their relationship almost took another step, just about the time she got evicted — little wonder they exchanged Jerseys, Munya keeping Lucille’s and vice versa.

Mimi and Morris stood by the door, probably hoping Lucille would resurface in vain. Mimi, who had turned herself into a sort of Lucille’s mother, cried.

Tawana wished she had some cigarettes for consolation. Meanwhile, TK was isolated as everyone looked at him as the Judas Iscariot. But housemates’ hands seemed tied because the Zambian is still the head of house this week following a quiz task he won on Friday. And even though they would nominate him for eviction, he still possessed the power to save and replace himself with another housemate.

No wonder Sheila, who until eviction night had not been talking to TK, went to buy his love by sharing a bed with him. She is looking for a way to bribe him out of putting her up for eviction. If only TK could see through that and guillotine her, he will be my hero. And do not forget that Lucille refused his romantic advances, probably the reason she is on a flight back to Namibia as you read this.
