MANY music lovers had lost hope of bringing back their cassette music to life, but thanks to an innovation from Sony, they can resurrect this hope. The new Sony Mini Hi- Fi system has a cassette deck which plays cassette tapes.

With a touch of a record button on the system, one can record the music on a flash disk. The music, which is recorded in MP3 format, can then be transferred to a computer, iPod, phone or CD.

This Hi-Fi system also has three CD decks, which allows the user to insert three CDs and the system would play them one after the other or at the command of the operator using a remote control.

Sahji, a sales representative at Anisuma Traders on Jinja Road, says this exciting hi-fi system has a 10,000 watts power output, which means high sound quality. It has a digital FM/AM tuner which plays clear music when tuned well.

The AM/FM broadcasts can also be recorded on a flash disk. One would also not need a computer to rip music from CDs onto a flash disk since this is catered for in its design.

The system also has a dual stereo subwoofer, MP3 booster playback, variable attenuation control system and USB flash memory playback.

The system also has a subwoofer and front and rear speakers. It costs sh1.2m with a one-year warranty at Anisuma Traders.
