COBAP emerged champions in the Uganda Amateur Boxing Clubs Association (UABCA) novice championships Sunday.
They garnered 32 points to win the 14-team event that drew 103 boxers. Ice Mark followed with 16 points ahead of KBC and Lubya (14).
This is the second triumph for the Mengo-based Community Based Aids Project (COBAP) boxing club following their victory in the national juniors championship last month.
UABCA is a group of clubs opposed to Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) president Roger Ddungu for allegedly altering the constitution and hiking the subscription fees.
The association plans to hold the intermediates November 23-20.
