Four die in Kabaale accident

A COUPLE and two other people on Friday perished after their car collided with a Fuso truck at Rubaale on the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
A COUPLE and two other people on Friday perished after their car collided with a Fuso truck at Rubaale on the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
The deceased were identified as Mathias Mulumba and his wife, Winnie.
Others are Magdalene Kaggwa and Alice Byanyima.
Emilio Kazimoto, the Ntungamo traffic Police chief, said the Rev. Fr. Elias Mwebembeza, who was driving the car, was injured.
Earlier on the same day, three people, including the Isingiro Woman MP, Vicky Kyaka Kyokuhairwa and her sister in-law, died in an accident on the Kampala-Masaka highway.
Over 10 people, including the MP’s husband, Dr. James Ireeta Kyaka, who were injured, were rushed to Nkozi Hospital.
Dr. Kyaka was transferred to Mulago Hospital and was still in critical condition over the weekend.
A requiem mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday at Christ the King Church in Kampala and thereafter the body will be taken to Parliament for members to pay their tribute.
Burial will take place on Wednesday at Ngarama in Bukanga, Isingiro district.
