A Kyambogo University student is seeking $14,700 (about sh27m), to enable him go for open-heart surgery in India. Paul Kwikiriza, a third year student of automotive and power engineering, suffers from rheumatic heart disease.

A Kyambogo University student is seeking $14,700 (about sh27m), to enable him go for open-heart surgery in India. Paul Kwikiriza, a third year student of automotive and power engineering, suffers from rheumatic heart disease.

A report from the Uganda Heart Institute at Mulago Hospital, said arrangements can be made for Kwikiriza to undergo an operation for valve replacement at Frontier Line, Chennai, in the Republic of India.

Kwikiriza, who resides in Mbarara town with his parents, told The New Vision on Monday: “I appeal for assistance so that I can be able to continue studying normally.”
