CRICKET-Henry Osinde is in the country for a 10-day holiday with his family ahead of the cricket World Cup set to start March 11. The former national team player — now a Canadian citizen — is on a probable squad to feature for Canada at the World Cup in West Indies. Osinde, 28, migrated in 2001 after he was dropped on the team that played at the mini World Cup in Canada.

USF calling
SWIMMING-The Uganda Swimming Federation will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on February 17 at Lugogo. Federation secretary Peter Mugisha said the assembly will discuss the sport’s development plans as well as find the way forward for water polo which will be introduced this season.

CAC boss to visit Uganda
CYCLING-Confederation of Africa cycling (CAC) president, who is also boss of the Egyptian federation, is due to visit Uganda.
Uganda cycling body sectary, Sam Lubega said dr. Waghi Azzam’s visit will include discussing the launch of the first regional Tour De lake and Tour de Nile races this year.
