THE Mayor of Entebbe, Stephen Kabuye, will launch a Mayor Fund during the Mayors Ball at Resort Beach Hotel Entebbe on May 12.

THE Mayor of Entebbe, Stephen Kabuye, will launch a Mayor Fund during the Mayors Ball at Resort Beach Hotel Entebbe on May 12.
Kabuye says he has invited all mayors from the Lake Victoria region for the big occasion.
The chief guest will be the Mayor of Mwanza, Mr Bihondo and and his wife.
He has invited good Samaritans and the corporate world to fundraise for needy children of Entebbe Municipality. Priority will be given to the mentally retarded children.
“Although we have a school for the mentally handicapped –– Entebbe Children Welfare, there is still a large number of such children who are being locked up in houses by their parents or guardians,†Kabuye said.
He said in the past, such funds would assist the poor.
“At the moment all local councils are stark after the abolition of graduated tax. We are left with no funds to cater for the disadvantaged children,†he said.
