Kategaya gets second term

THE First deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East Africa Affairs Tukahirwa Eriya Kategaya was last Saturday officially given a new wife Diana Mujugu, daughter of late Stephen Mujugo of Rubaya, Kashari in Mbarara district.

THE First deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East Africa Affairs Tukahirwa Eriya Kategaya was last Saturday officially given a new wife Diana Mujugu, daughter of late Stephen Mujugo of Rubaya, Kashari in Mbarara district.
A delegation of over 20 relatives of Diana, led by Apollo Mabati, the secretary of Mbarara Veterans Association, went to collect bride price from Kategaya’s home in Karagwe, Itojo in Ntungamo district as tradition requires.
Kategaya paid 10 cows he had been asked, which were loaded onto a truck and driven to Kashari, Diana’s home.
Kategaya said paying bride price was a great relief because he was now going to officially enjoy his marriage with Diana.
He said the time he had stayed with Diana had made him confident that their marriage would last. Kategaya separated from his first wife, Joan, several years ago. Diana introduced Kategaya to her late fathers home in December last year and she has been living with him ever since. They have a six- month-old baby boy called Junior Kategaya.
