Masaka LC home record faces test

IT would be an exaggeration to describe Masaka LC as confident going into today’s visit of Police but an unbeaten run at home since last June at least presents plenty of hope for coach Badru Senkayi.

Masaka’s home record reads: played four and drawn four since losing 3-1 to Mbarara United.

“We hope to keep that record intact. We just can not afford to lose at home because we have already lost two of our away matches,” Masaka tactician Senkayi said.

The upcountry league fixture though pits the most potent attack against a miserable defence. Masaka’s clumsy defending will certainly come as a delicious prospect to Police and league joint top scorer Dan Walusimbi, with three goals so far this season.

“It is encouraging that I will have my full squad with me,” Police coach Asuman Lubowa (above) disclosed.

League debutants Bunamwaya will take to the Namboole turf convinced that man for man, they should be in a position to match a youthful but inexperienced SC Villa outfit. The Blues, despite piping Maji 1-0 on Saturday, are yet to play the kind of game that previously had the opposition beaten even before kick-off.

With Eric Obua, Mark Mwambo and Osama Farouk in Bunamwaya’s ranks, the tie will be too close to call.

Kampala United hope to take advantage of Kinyara’ dip-in form at Nakivubo while debutants KB Lions have a date with Mbale Heroes at Wankulukuku.
