IVAN Enabu is hoping to mark his opening day in the Yello Go Conference division by leading Knight Riders to victory over Sky Jammers in today’s MTN basketball league opener.

Enabu will look to eclipse his feat of last November, when he collected 14 points, six steals against the Kenya national team that saw him scoop the Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolade during the East, Central and Southern Africa basketball tournament in Kampala.

Although Enabu will be on their side, the Riders go into today’s game at the YMCA court as underdogs, making their debut in the division after one year of playing second division basketball last season.

Following their promotion, the team will be in unfamiliar surroundings squaring off against a Jammers side that is more conversant with first division basketball ties.

Meanwhile, the second division league gets underway today at Nakasero with Makerere University taking on Berkeley, Flippers face Family Planning Association of Uganda and MUK Youth Heaters play Flamers before debutants KCC Lions square off against Makindye Shooters.
