BARCLAYS Bank staff are lined up for a soccer skills clinic whose top performer will compete in a tournament in London.

The one-day clinic where participants will face various tests is due on Sunday at Kyadondo rugby club.

The clinic is also geared at empowering the bank’s Premier soccer sponsorship.

Nick Mbuvi, the bank’s managing director, said in a press release that the clinic is “aimed at assessing the soccer skills of our employees using various soccer-related tests.”

Six tests will be carried out including juggling and moving a ball across a defined distance.

The top scorer will be Uganda’s representative on one of two Barclays Africa and Middle East teams at the Barclays Internal tournament due on May 17 in London.

The teams will also have players from Kenya, Egypt, UAEs, Botswana, Mauritius, Seychelles and Zimbabwe.
