THE UPDF on Monday killed another senior LRA commander, Col. Okot Pokot.
Pokot was killed in an ambush in Acholi Bur, Aruu county in Pader district.
The UPDF 5th Division intelligence officer, Maj. Damulira Serunjonji, said Pokot and his fighters had planned to terrorise the civilians in the internally displaced people’s camps.
He said Pokot was operating in Acholi Bur, Latanya, Pajule, Lira-Palwo and Patongo.
Acting RDC Christopher Omara hailed the UPDF for working tirelessly to restore peace in Pader.
