Nile Bank staff have cleaned the streets of Mbale as part of activities to open a branch in the town.
The bank’s head of retail banking, Gunila Ouko, said, “This is part of our corporate social responsibility through which we can connect to the community.â€
Ouko said most people look at the banks as commercial entities that are only linked to the community during banking hours.
“The Mbale branch will be the eighth Nile Bank branch in the country. We shall offer banking services including paying for utility bills, Internet banking and giving out loans,†she said.
