Nobody knows where Ntenjeru north MP, Tom Kazibwe got the money he distributing. Recently he donated five ambulances to five dispensaries in Kayunga district. He said the vans were worth sh300m. Then after two days, he also donated 400 sewing machines to 50 women groups in his constituency. last Saturday during the swearing-in of the Kangulumira sub- county LC3 chairman, he promised to donate over 80,000 improved coffee seedlings to farmers in the district. When he said that, some residents wondered where he got the money to do all that. Some residents have nicknamed him ‘Uncle money’.

“I still up to now cannot believe I am a minister,†exclaimed Sulaiman Madada, Bbaale county MP. Mudada was speaking to journalists on Saturday in Kayunga town council. He told told them that the President had directed the District Police Commander to give him enough security, a bodyguard and a gatekeeper. “As you know, ministers don’t just move like that without security,†a jovial Madada said in Luganda.

President Yoweri Museveni last Friday amused scientists and at the Presidential Science Awards ceremony, when he claimed that he was the one who discovered the Cassava Mosaic disease. He said, “When I was in a military exercise in Ngoma, Luweero I saw cassava leaves deformed and I called the experts who looked at it and they worked out how to control it and have now developed resistant varieties. I can say I was the one who discovered cassava mosaic.†Mr. President you really deserve a prestigious science award.

Gen Salim Saleh has got a new name — “Mr. development. “So, starting from today we expect you people to start calling him Salim Saleh Akandanaho Development. Saleh got the ‘name’ on Thursday during the swearing-in of the Bbaale sub-county LC3 chairman, Fred Mpanga at Bbaale sub-county headquarters in Kayunga district. The district authorities said Saleh deserved the name.
