— Two men were shot dead by the army patrol in Pabwo village, Bungatira sub-county in Aswa county. Northern region spokesman Lt. Chris Magezi said the deceased were suspected thieves. Reports said Joel Oryema of Bobi Paidwe and Wilfred Kinyera of Pabwo, in possession of three chicken, fell into a UPDF ambush at 10:30pm on Friday.

— The district is building an isolation centre for cholera patients at Pajule Hospital. The resident district commissioner, Lt. Santo Okot Lapolo, said yesterday that Pajule IDP camp will be decongested to improve sanitation since the security situation had improved.

72 idlers held
ENTEBBE
— Chief Magistrate Godfrey Anguadia has remanded 72 idlers in Kigo Prison. The idlers were rounded up on Thursday night from Kitoro, nakiwogo and Lugonjo. The swoop followed several incidents of thuggery.
