THE Rotary club of Kololo has awarded Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda with honorary membership of the Paul Harris Fellowship.
The award is in recognition of her work in helping the disadvantaged.
The award only given to leaders with outstanding commitment and leadership in efforts to improve the welfare of the disadvantaged in society, has been bestowed upon the Archbishop of Kampala, emmanuel Cardinal Wamala, the Mufti, Sheikh Ramathan Mubajje and president Yoweri museveni.
Nagginda, who was chief guest at the installation of the new club president, Sam Farouk Mukasa, hailed rotarians for their commitment to serving humanity.
“Rotary opens people’s eyes to see the world as one community. A community with similar problems but of varying degrees,” the Nabagereka said.
A former president, Stanley Mulumba, commended Nagginda for projects like the Nnabagereka Development foundation, saying the club was doing humanitarian work without being a Rotarian.
“The club’s offer to you of honorary membership of the Paul Harris fellowship is indeed recognition of your selfless effort to uplift the well-being of the disadvantaged,” he said.
