MIDFIELD ace Abubaker Tabula will not make the trip to Libya because he inexplicably failed to produce his passport.

FUFA media committee head Rogers Mulindwa told the weekly press conference at FUFA House, Mengo yesterday that efforts to contact the midfielder (right) failed, forcing them to drop him. He has been replaced by Robert Kimuli.

“We had no alternative but to take the action,” said Mulindwa.

Mulindwa also said that they had fixed two friendly games with Tanzania’s Taifa Stars and Sudan after the Lesotho game.

Coach Laszlo Csaba put aside his ill health (malaria) and stepped foot at Namboole stadium yesterday. “I feel somehow better and able to work because we do not have time yet there are so many problems to be rectified especially in attack,” Csaba said.

“The attacking is still a problem. I have been told of Geoffrey (Massa) in Egypt. I will look at him and measure how much we have to do in front of goal.”

Professionals Timothy Batabaire and Posnet Omwony will join the team on Friday.

In another development, FUFA vice-president Asumani Lubowa will sign a new memorandum of understanding with Libya to rekindle the previous deal that had gone sour.

“At the FIFA Congress, the Ugandan delegation held a meeting with the Libya delegation and what they will be awaiting is to officially sign the agreement,” explained Mulindwa.

The team:
H. Kalyesubula, R. Malinga, S. Masaba, H. Wasswa, S. Mutumba, D. Wagaluka, J. Bagoole, N. Kasule, H. Magumba, G.
