Sheraton Kampala Hotel has a new resident Bulgarian band –– Moon Vision. Sylvia Krastava and Ivan Ivanov, members of the band, say they chose the name because it sounds good and that the actual sight of the moon is romantic.
Moon Vision , which performs at the Rhino Pub Terrace every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, performs cover versions of prominent artistes’ songs ranging from jazz, rock, blues, pop to soul, disco and funk. Krastava (right) sings while Ivanov plays the instruments.
“We play all kinds of music in Arabic, Spanish, English, French and Italian,” says Krastava, who has her own songs in French and English. The duo, in close link with the Sheraton chain of hotels, will be at Kampala Sheraton for the entire October.
The 11- year-old band has been to Morocco at the prestigious hotels in Casablanca, Rabat and Marrakesh, where they spent nine years. They have also preformed at the Meridien and Hilton hotels besides singing in Luxembourg, France, Cyprus, Norway and playing on big ships in Finland and Sweden.
