CRANES coach Laszlo Csaba is reluctant to draw the axe ahead of this weekend’s CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Csaba explained that he feels like taking to Ethiopia all the players because everybody is giving it 100%. There are 22 players in camp.

“They are all very committed but a decision was taken that some will stay home. All the players I have in camp are good,” Csaba said.

He said that all players have a chance of making the trip. “I have many playing in the same positions so everyone has a chance.”

The team is tentatively scheduled to fly out tomorrow for the tournament that kicks off on Saturday and will run up to December 10.

The team will link up with captain Hannington Kalyesubula, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Asani Bajope in Addis Ababa. The trio play for Ethiopian giants St. George. But it is not very clear whether Bajope will be available.

Bajope, who last appeared against Ghana in 2004, is reported to be on holiday in DR Congo.

“FUFA has never communicated to him about his involvement with the Cranes,” FIFA licensed agent Mujib Kasule disclosed yesterday.
