Auditions for the much hyped Super Girl Talent Search kick off December 7 2006.
Open to African girls resident in Uganda aged above 16, the project seeks to promote talent in arts through a reality television show produced in conjunction with Arirang Korean Restaurant and aired on Record TV Network, Uganda’s newest TV station.

Finals will be held in late January 2007. Contestants will be judged on differing categories such as song writing, vocal creativity as well as cultural sensitivity.

Registration kicked off early this week and forms are available at Arirang Korean Restaurant, head offices of Record TV in Kamwokya and at Cineplex Cinema Hall at Garden City Centre.

A hundred people will be chosen for the finals by a team of adjudicators renown for their knowledge of modern and Ugandan performing arts.

Prizes include a car, a trip to China, a trip plus accommodation for two to South Africa, $1000 and original designer 3 piece set with shoes.

Each of the five runners-up will have a choice of recording their audio and video with their Ugandan-based dream artists and an exclusive dinner with a friend at Arirang Korean Restaurant, chauffered in a limousine.
