KAMPALA — A former employee of Nile Hotel International, who sought to recover over sh5m as terminal benefits, got a surprise when the High Court dismissed his case as unmerited and instead ordered him to pay costs of the suit. Justice Vincent Zehurikize made the orders against Honesmus Mubanda, a former driver with the hotel, who had sued the hotel, claiming that it had underpaid him by over sh5m.

Monger dies
BUGIRI — A fisherman died on Sunday after he was attacked by a crocodile. The incident raises the death toll to eight victims since this year began. Idi Hamba died of over-bleeding after the reptile mauled him, severing off his right arm. The incident occurred at Bwonda landing site.

KCC advised
KAMPALA — The city council (KCC) has been advised to revise the rates that led vendors to strike. RDC Steven Kinyatta said KCC should reduce the 50% increment to 30%, adding that St. Balikudde-mbe vendors contributed a lot towards the construction of the market structures.
