FIVE candidates have been nominated for the Busiro South parliamentary seat.
The seat fell vacant after the death of Patrick Musisi last month.
The candidates include a Kampala lawyer, Joseph Balikuddembe Mutebi, 28, the son of the late MP, Fred Kiggundu, Freda Nanziri Mubanda and former presidential candidate Charles Ssenkubuge.
Ssenkubuge, a city actor and a Radio Simba presenter, had an ecstatic crowd composed of local artistes and Bamunanika county MP Ali Ndawula.
The Movement favours Mubanda, Ssenkubuge and Kiggundu while the Democratic Party backs Balikuddembe.
The nominations were presided over by Wakiso chief administrative officer George Ntulume.
