Banks told
KAMPALA – Banks have been advised to consider upcoming businesses while issuing loans. “It is not the matter of the size and the duration a company has taken. Mukono okays
MUKONO District Council has passed a sh32.6b budget for the 2005/06 financial year.
Godfrey Ddamulira, the district chairman, said this year’s budget surpasses last year’s sh31b and id under the theme, “Improving the quality of life and wealth creation.”
Ddamulira said recently that the budget is in line with President Yoweri Museveni’s Bona Bagagawale (richness for all) Scheme.

Farmers told
Farmers should grow crops for which they are sure of the market, Chebet Maikut, the president of Uganda Farmers Federation, has said.
Maikut said this at a workshop in Kampala recently.
“Poor access to market has for many decades been responsible for the miserable conditions farmers have been living in,” he said. Maikut said the above had stifled entrepreneurship.
