IT is official! Priscilla Ray is no longer the face of Ziper Models, so announced Sylvia Owori, at the first anniversary of her Kabalagala Pub, Little Mama’s last Thursday night.

Owori had this to say of Priscilla: “she is past it. We needed a new face and sadly, we had to let her go. We will keep on searching every corner of Uganda to find the right face, who will go on to represent Uganda at next years Face of Africa’s competition.”

Ray’s replacement comes in the form of 17-year-old Yvette Nabojeru, a senior five student of Kitante High School.

The anniversary bash was vintage Owori at her best. As early as 6:00pm, guests had started to fill the pub. Faces were expectant and yearning to be tantalised. And they were. At some point during the night, a bevy of beauties led by a scantily clad girl wearing nothing but a black bra and a skimpy skirt stormed the pub causing a media stampede.

Like the acclaimed America designer, Andy Whorhol, once said, everybody is entitled to their five minutes of fame. This girl, however, took more than that. She took practically the entire evening and in the process, overshadowed reigning Miss Uganda, Barbara Kimbugwe, former Miss Uganda Aisha Nassanga and the belle of the night, Owori herself.

The bash was truly one to reckon with. Ale flowed till the wee hours of the morning and, keeping guests entertained, were a group of lap dancers, who did just enough to get some of the men to drool. By the time we left at 4:30am, the party showed no signs of receding.

Happy anniversary Little Mama’s!
