PUMP prices of all fuel products have shot up again. The price of petrol has increased by sh100 from sh2100 to sh2200. Unlike earlier increments, kerosene had the highest rise of sh150 from sh1550 to sh1700. Diesel had the least increment of sh10 from sh1790 to sh1800 at stations like Shell, Total and Caltex though at others like Kobil, Gapco, Petro and Spell, it increased by sh60 to sh1850. The increment was yesterday observed at all pump stations in Kampala.

Cops probe

THE Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a Makerere University lecturer that occurred at a city lodge at the weekend. According to Police, Tonny Kamya Katende of the forestry faculty, died at Terrace Hotel in Nakulabye, a busy Kampala suburb on Sunday morning.

THE army has completed investigations into allegations that Brig. Henry Tumukunde breached army laws by giving media interviews on the political situation in the country. The General Military Court Martial, chaired by Lt. Gen. Elly Tumwine, is expected to set today a trial date in the case.

Man killed

A MAN was shot dead in a Sunday night burglary in which over sh3m was lost at a fuel station at Kasenyi landing site. Central region Police chief Grace turyagumanawe yesterday said the incident occurred when two guards, Justin Odongo and Fiba Turyah-umura, hosted their colleague at a Petro fuel station. The friend bought them drinks and while they drank, the robbery occurred. The suspect was shot dead but the money was not recovered.

Third project
