Ten renown scientists inducted

TEN scientists were on Thursday inducted as Uganda National Academy of Science (UNAS) fellows during the UNAS fifth annual General Meeting and Conference writes Patrick Jaramogi.

TEN scientists were on Thursday inducted as Uganda National Academy of Science (UNAS) fellows during the UNAS fifth annual General Meeting and Conference writes Patrick Jaramogi.

The fellowship is awarded to leading scientists who have excelled.
Inducting the scientists at Grand Imperial Hotel, the academy president Prof. Edward Mugambi said, “This induction is in recognition for your efforts in spearheading the development of science.”

The 10 fellows were, Dr. Nakanyike Musisi director MISR, Prof. Opio Epelu (former Makerere deputy Vice Chancellor), Prof. David Bakibinga, the deputy Vice chancellor Finance and Administration.

Others were; Dr. Miph Musoke deputy director Virus Research Institute, Prof. John Ntuhe, Prof. Felix Buieba Bareba, Prof. James Patrick Mangeni, Dr. Peter Ndebile, Prof. George William Otim and Prof. Adipala Ekwamu.
