THE British Council has a number of scholarships for the academic year 2006/7.

THE British Council has a number of scholarships for the academic year 2006/7.
The British Joint Postgraduate Scholarship Programmes will only be tenable at the University of Leeds. Only applicants wishing to pursue Engineering, Environmental Studies, Communication Studies, Developmental Studies, Finance, Education and Gender programmes will be considered.
Applicants should have a minimum of an Upper Second Class degree, be under 35 years of age, have at least three years’ professional working experience and be ready to pursue careers in Uganda on completion of the programme.
Application forms are available at the British Council offices, Rwenzori Courts, Plot 2 and 4A, Nakasero Road.

There are also Chevening scholarships for postgraduate studies and research at any British University.
Areas of study for the Chevening programmes include Banking, Computer and Information Technology, Developmental Studies, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Finance, Human Rights, Industrial Relations, International Relations, Journalism, Law, Management, Communication Studies, Project Planning, Public Administration and Political Science.
