To the 16-year-old, who aspires to become a Neuro Surgeon, the secret lay in a simple formula. “I had to set my priorities right. My father (Professor John Okedi of Makerere University) always told me that in life, if you are to attain success, you just have to set your goals and go for them.
This created an attitude of determination, interest, minus laziness which I believe led to my success in the exams,” she says.
Tino, who expects to do PCB/Maths at A’ level, talked to The New Vision, at a party held at the school premises to celebrate her performance.
Jane Nassazi, the Academic supervisor at Vienna College, overwhelmed by the performance couldn’t hold back tears as she thanked the students for doing the school proud.
“It is really a humbling experience. Finally there is something good coming out of Vienna College. All talk that international schools hardly perform and are of low standard has been erased. Thank you Jesus for making this dream a reality,” she said before leading the gathering into prayer
A total 135 students sat for the exams.
