<b>Ochora asks </b><br>GULU - The district chairman, Lt. Col. Walter Ochora, has asked Unicef to give free anti-retroviral (ARVs) drugs to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Ochora asks
GULU - The district chairman, Lt. Col. Walter Ochora, has asked Unicef to give free anti-retroviral (ARVs) drugs to people living with HIV/AIDS. He recently told Per Engebak, the Unicef director for east and southern Africa, that most HIV/AIDS patients could not afford the drugs. He said many formerly abducted children were HIV positive and having parents who can't buy the drugs.


NGO helps
APAC - Save the Children Norway, a non-governmental organisation helping children who are former Lord's Resistance Army rebel captives, has supported 6,728 children in Lango sub-region. Hellene Koli, the organisation's assistant mobiliser, recently said they were giving scholastic materials to help the children.


Bank gives
KITGUM - Stanbic Bank has donated 3,000 blankets worth sh16m to displaced people in the district. Kitili Mbathi, the bank's director, handed over the blankets to the beneficiaries at Kitgum Hospital recently.
