KAYUNGA—The Danish ambassador Kelly Kelly, has commended the district for promoting micro projects. Kelly was recently commissioning this financial year’s Denmark small project programmes. He hailed the district for using the European Development Fund well.

20 arrested
KAYUNGA — The Police in Kangulumira are holding 20 men for allegedly stealing vanilla. The area Police chief, David Isiko, said the men were arrested last week in an operation with the residents. Isiko said vanilla thefts in the district ware on the increase.

Govt plans
KAMPALA — The finance minister, Mwesigwa Rukutana, has said Government plans to recover the money given under the Entandikwa Loan Scheme from defaulters. In an interview recently, Rukutana said they would pursue defaulters until they pay. peiple should pay back the money got for Entandikwa because it was not a political handout.

Illeterates get
WAKISO — President Yoweri Museveni has said Government will allocate money to cater for the illeterates from the grassroots. Museveni was meeting the chairperson of Uganda Association of uneducated Persons at Kisozi recently.

COMESA meet
KAMPALA — The first COMESA business summit will be held at the International Conference Centre on June 7 and 8, during the annual meeting of heads of member states.
