AFTER finishing second twice, Uganda People’s Defence Force marathon star Joseph Nsubuga will be fighting to improve at the Abebe Bekele international marathon due tomorrow in Addis Ababa.
Nsubuga finished second in 2003 and 2001.

Nsubuga, together with Felix Charles Mukasa, who represented Uganda in the Kirimanjaro International marathon, will take to the road well knowing that chances for qualifying for the Olympic games have elapsed.
In order to run another marathon, they need a three months rest yet the Olympics are due in August.

Macbeth Akakwansa will be the coach of the team that travels today courtesy of the Ethiopian federation — which has offered tickets and internal expenses.
The team has also been facilitated by the local athletics governing body UAAF.
