KAMPALA – The UWESO Development Programme has established 10 new branches in a bid to expand their savings and credit scheme. UWESO national executive committee chairperson, Marcella Mukasa, said in a statement recently the Belgium government gave the funds. She said they had received funds from the HIV/AIDS Integrated Model (AIM) to start related activities in the various districts.

KAMPALA – High Court on Friday freed a Luweero peasant after the Director of Public Prosecution dropped a defilement charge against him. Prosecution said the state failed to get enough evidence against Valentine Kalyesubula, who is alleged to have defiled a 17-year-old.
