KAVC chairman Mofaht Masaba said the six-week programme aims at taking holiday-makers through basic skills of the game. “The drills initiate the kids into self-management, psychological and sociable norms of the game,” he said.

Refs for Addis

FUFA has nominated George Kabwimukya, Abasi Sendyowa and Yusuf Kamulegeya for a referees’ instructor course to take place December 14-21 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The course organised by CAF will be conducted by an expert from the English FA.

Uganda top

UGANDA’s U-12 and U-16 teams swept four out of six trophies in the East African Inter-schools friendly tournament at the Green Hills Academy grounds last week in Kigali, Rwanda. The two day tournament attracted six teams with Rwanda and Uganda fielding three sides each in the U-12 , U-14 and U-16 categories of the competition.

FIFA warns

THE third international weightlifting course will be held at Buziga Country Resort on Monday. Twenty five coaches will participate in the 10-day course.Uganda Weightlifting Federation official Salim Musoke also announced the national championships will be held on December 11 at Buziga and not in Jinja as earlier planned.
