Children love to see Father Christmas and to receive presents from him. Who really is that man hidden behind red and white clothing?

Children love to see Father Christmas and to receive presents from him. Who really is that man hidden behind red and white clothing?

Reba Rwothumio, 8, is in P3 at Aga Khan Primary School.
I first saw Father Christmas when I was 5 years old in America. He comes from the North Pole. He rides on the deer and brings presents. I like him because he brings surprises.

Isabel Mulungi, 4, goes to Springdales Nursery.
I like Father Christmas. I don't know who he is. I do not know where he comes from, but I don't fear him.

Phillip Duna, 8, says, Father Christmas is someone who gives us presents. He visits many places, hotels, homes and flats. He is kind, good and he is never dirty. He reminds me of America. He does not slide when he is walking on snow. I first saw him when I was young…maybe about 5 years old.

Aaron Ochola, 13, goes to KPC North.
Father Christmas came from Germany and he was some one who used to give presents to the needy on Christmas. That is how they started calling him Santa Claus.

Felix Magala, 10 years old Davijan Primary School
Father Christmas is a person who leads Christmas parties. I like him because he makes me play and know more about God. I think I first saw Father Christmas when I was four years old. I am not sure where he comes from.

Esther Mirembe, 9, P4 at Kampala Parents' School. I have no idea who he is, but I think he comes from London. I first saw him when I was three years old. When I see him, I think that he is going to give us presents and have fun with us. I am not afraid of him.
