WINNERS of The New Vision/Picfare school fees competition yesterday received their prizes in the second draw, reports Catherine Ntabadde.

WINNERS of The New Vision/Picfare school fees competition yesterday received their prizes in the second draw, reports Catherine Ntabadde.The New Vision City circulation officer, Dan Kawuma, and Picfare Industries Sales Manager Sanjay Bhardwaj handed over the prizes to the 17 winners.The ceremony was held at The New Vision Circulation Department on Nkurumah Road, Kampala.Sh875,000 and 10 scholarship materials were won. The first prize of sh200,000 was scooped by Alex Turyahebwa of Masajja Primary School. Julian Nabbanja of Ndejje S.S.S received the second prize of sh175,000 followed by Rifal Zirabamuzaale of Islamic School, Kakira. Kalon Mundire of St. Paul Jinja, Monic Tiguliwayo of Nakanyonyi Girls School, Nasif Beneya of Busoga College Mwiri received sh100,000 each. The other 10 winners received scholastic materials which included a bed sheets, geometry sets, exercise books, school bags and reams of paper.However, only one winner of the sh100,000 prize came for his prize.Rhona Kanabahita, The New Vision sales promotion executive, said most winners could not pick their prizes. She encouraged children to participate so that they win more prizes.Ends
