In pursuit of our main objective of enabling communities to take care of their children, the following positions need to be filled:Job Title : Program OfficerDuty Station : KatakwiReports to : Director of ProgramsMain Duties- Co-ordinate Katakwi Nutrition and Education program- Oversee proper delivery and utilization of food support provided to children and schools.- Initiate activities aimed at Peace Education and Conflict Resolution.- Oversee FTCU support to basic education including infrastructure improvement training of teachers and others.Required Qualifications:- First degree from a recognised university in Civil Engineering or Social Sciences.- At least 3 years experience in NGO work particularly in areas of Peace Education and Conflict Resolution, Child Advocacy- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.- Demonstrated use of participatory approaches to development workJob Title : DriverDuty Station : Kampala- A valid driving license with a clean record.- To drive the Child and Community Development/FTCL vehicles very carefully.- To make sure the vehicles are in good mechanical condition at all times.- To ensure cleanliness of the vehicles at all times.- To ensure the vehicles are serviced in due time.Qualifications and qualities required- Valid driving permit with at least 4 years working with an NGO or International Agencies.- "O" Level Certificate.- Attended a course in defensive driving.- A good interpersonal communicator, mature, respectable, with wise judgement, excellent timemanager and with the right attitude.Feed The Children Uganda is an equal opportunity employer.
