AAG Big Band, a brass band from Albrecht-Altdorfer High School in Regensburg, Germany will be arriving here on Wednesday March 27. They are slated to hold several performances before they depart on April 3.

They are slated to hold several performances before they depart on April 3.AAG Big Band’s trip is being supported by German Music Council, Emirates Airlines, Uganda Telecom and a local private sponsor personally attached to Germany.Anke Rathey of the Department of Culture and Press at the German Embassy said this week: “The group, which consists of 15 students and seven adults from Bavaria, are here to promote the exchange of German and Ugandan culture.”AAG Big Band’s repertoire stretches from classic brass band-sounds like Dixieland, traditional German Volksmusik to modern tunes and movie scores such as themes from James Bond films and Pretty Woman. The band will kick off their programme on Thursday March 28.ends
