Customers were busy munching away when the unexpected happened.A man carrying an adult dead body wrapped in a papyrus mat parked his bicycle beside a mango tree nearby and asked to be served with food and water as he was too hungry. The man, identified as Kaigo Abdalla, said that he had ridden the bicycle from Mbulamuti in Kamuli District and was heading for Tirinyi near Pallisa District. He badly wanted to eat before he would proceed with the journey, since he had been riding the whole day. Over 10 women and some customers abandoned their food and scampered for safety thinking that encountering a dead body in the dark was an ill omen. The man seemed calm and continued his search for food. He got it from a brave woman on the condition that he ate from another place.Other terrified people suggested that he produces documents warranting him to transport the body lest he might be transporting it to another destination. The brave man did all they asked and moved on with his journey, riding off into the dark.
