NAJJA HS produced shock yesterday when it beat champions Kitante in the Sprite Schools basketball hoops at Nabumali HS.

Najja, a new school in the basketball circles beat Kitante by 10 points to go top of Group A with 10 points and book a second round berth against Teso College Aloet today. Kitante, a point less will meet Nabumali in the other second round crash.

However, Kabojja College continued with their winning streak downing Rock High while St Mary’s College Kisubi fought hard to edge Vienna by a point. Kisubi also lost to Vienna.

In the girls’ games, defending champions Nabisunsa and 1999 champions Nabumali were still riding high.
