GHANA’s third coach in 2002, Emmanuel Afranie hopes for better luck when his desperate team hosts Rwanda on Sunday. Since losing 1-0 to Group 13 table leaders Uganda, the four-times African champions have endured a torrid spell that saw Yugoslav coach Milan Zivadinovic head for the exit. Afranie is temporarily fitting the coaching bill, a few weeks after Zivadinovic’s controversial departure. Like in Kampala last month, the west Africans are overwhelming favourites against Rwanda. Professionals John Mensah, Ibrahim Razak, Abubakari Yakubu and Olympiakos based Peter Ofori Quaye are in the Black Stars camp. Elsewhere, Kenya travels to Cape Verde Islands while Tanzania hosts Sudan. Cranes’ next match is away against Rwanda on March 30, 2003.
