Oh! PAYE

SIR—There is nothing that hurts more than the 30% pay as you earn(PAYE) tax imposed on civil and public servants. The fraction is just too huge and Uganda’s currency is very weak. Perhaps we would bear the pinch philosophically if there wasn’t ridiculous disparity in remuneration between politicians and other people.
