MEDIA persons will rest their pens this week as they take to the Journalists’ Media Cricket Club (MCC) to test their new kit on the nets from today. The journalists start their first drilling session this season at Lugogo from 5pm.

The journalists start their first drilling session this season at Lugogo from 5pm.The newly formed side that received a playing kit from ICC last year will play against the Expats’ Crocodiles Cricket Club in the inaugural Bagurusi Saturday League this weekend at Lugogo oval.Team captain David Sseppuuya has called upon all interested journalists (new and old) to turn up for training.Aloysius Nainhabo, the coordinator for the league, said the league is to provide a forum for those wishing to continue playing friendly and yet competitive cricket.Journalists, expats, engineers and administrators will compete in the league and no team will use a player less than 30 years of age. ends
