KABALE — A former campaign agent for presidential candidate Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye caused excitement when he was elected councillor. Roland Kiganda, who had recently been arrested in connection with the death of Lt. God Ngabirano, trounced the incumbent, Eric Sabiiti. He polled 4,416 votes against Sabiti’s 3,337 votes. The Rukungiri town council dwellers and residents of Buyanja were thrown into frenzy when the agents broke the news of the victory.Ends
