By Kyomuhendo Muhanga Mbarara University of Science and Technology has banned students from wearing jackets and heavy boots in the examination rooms to minimise examination malpractice. A statement from the acting university academic registrar, Kibirige, said, “Following the reports of examination malpractice, no one will be allowed to enter the examination room with an extra cloth.” “All books, clipboards, caps and pullovers were strictly prohibited from entering the examination rooms. Failure to comply will result into an automatic expulsion,” Kibirige added. The directive follows several discovered incidents of examination malpractice at the university. Ends
