KAMPALA — Makerere University has suspended the election of workers and academic staff representatives to its council. This follows confusion in the union and the academic staff association. The Academic Staff Association (MUASA) has split into two factions. The old one is led by Dr. Mukiibi Katende and Oweyegha Afunaduula and the other by Dr. Medi Kawuma and Dr. Twesigomwe.Ends
