By Frederick Kiwanuka LUWEERO district Khadi Sheikh Abdulhair Mukiibi has criticised the district chairman, Hajji Abdul Nadduli, for not appointing fellow Muslims to top posts in the district.Mukiibi said Nadduli, as a Muslim had violated the Koran teachings by failing to use his position to elevate fellow Muslims.Nadduli and Mukiibi were at a graduation party for Mr. Muhammed Genza at Bukimu village, Ziroobwe sub-county.“Allah (God) says that when a Muslim is holding a big post, he should use the opportunity to assist fellow Muslims. But the Muslim leaders we have, have not done so. For example in Luweero, our district chairman has never had any Muslim on his executive,” Mukiibi said.He said Nadduli had a case to answer before Allah for not elevating Muslims to high posts during his tenure of office as Luweero chairman.Mukiibi said Muslims in Luweero had kept a low profile under Nadudli’s regime, yet they should have bee at the forefront since the district is headed by a Muslim.Mukiibi dismissed excuses that the Muslims are not educated, saying it was so in the past but things had changed. “Muslims of today are educated and can handle any responsibility,” he said. However, Nadduli did not respond to Mukiibi’s accusations. He congratulated the graduand and encouraged leaders to go for further studies.Ends
