By Amlan Tumusiime EMBATTLED Kibaale district council chairman Fred Ruremera’s security has been beefed up. He now has six Police guards. Ruremera has also been granted access to his office after spending over two months without entering it since the controversial district council elections in April. The consensus was granted after a series of security meetings chaired by Resident District Commissioner Patrick Balidddawa. The Bunyoro-Mubende Committee under Joseph Kazairwe had tried to block Ruremera from entering the office and touring the district. Baliddawa and Chief Administrative Officer Simon Kimono said the committee had held a meeting and resolved Ruremera should not enter the office and tour the district. They said the memorandum was addressed to the National Political Commissar, Crispus Kiyonga. Baliddawa said, “He is the district chairman for two weeks. We are counting the days he will spend in the office and have given him the office keys and the vehicles.” Former LC5 boss Ssebastiano Ssekitoleko did not attend the function. Ends
