By Douglas Mazune & Rueben Olita RALLY ace Charles Muhangi has flown in mechanics from Scotland to tune his Subaru Impreza ‘Ekitaguriiro' ahead of the World rally championship (WRC) Kenya Safari July11-14.Dom Buckley and two assistants, who arrived on Monday were yesterday fitting spare parts on the Impreza.The former Africa champion has also purchased 50 tyres for the world's roughest and longest rally.“There are 12 sections and I will change tyres after every section,” said Muhangi.- Caltex Kenya yesterday launched its rally team with the firm's managing director James Mathenge expressing optimism of a top ten finish.Last year's highest Kenyan finisher at eighth position, Rory Green leads the strong team in a Subaru Impreza.Other members of the team will be last year's Uganda Pearl of Africa champion, Paul Bailey in Toyota Celica, Rob Hellier (Mitsubishi Evo3) and Meschell Van Tongeren in a Subaru Impreza.This year's Safari has realised the biggest works manufacture entry in the history of the rally with Subaru, Ford, Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Centreon and Skoda.Ends
